MEETING OF THE WORLD BANK EXPERTS WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PWIU

On March 7, 2025, a meeting of representatives of the Public Water Initiative of Ukraine (PWIU) and World Bank experts was held in Kyiv (Hyatt Hotel). The purpose of the event was to discuss institutional and economic aspects of water resources management in Ukraine. The event was attended by Mykhailo Yatsiuk (Director of the Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine), Raisa Vozhegova (Director of the Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine), Anna Tsvetkova (Member of the Protocol Compliance Committee on Water and Health), Artem Shyra (Vice President of the Ukrainian Water Association), Valentyn Khilchevskyi (Professor of the Department of Hydrology and Hydroecology of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv).

Considerable attention was also paid to cooperation between scientific institutions, government agencies and international partners in developing effective mechanisms for integrated water resources management.

The discussions once again emphasized the need for a broad dialogue between all stakeholders in reforming and developing water policy, especially in the post-war period of Ukraine's reconstruction, with the involvement of the international community, including the World Bank.
