On September 14, 2023, experts of NGO Primavera together with specialists from the Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences visited the Maksymivska irrigation system. The working visit took place within the framework of the project "Analysis of market needs for the restoration and modernization of intra-farm irrigation networks in Ukraine for the restoration of small-scale irrigation". Current project is going on on the demand of NIRAS A/S, Project “Technical Assistance to Support the Implementation of the “Ukraine Agri-Food APEX Loan” Operation” (July-October 2023).

Currently, the final stage of the project involves the development of investment plans for the restoration and modernization of four pilot irrigation systems, one of which is the Maksymivska irrigation system with an potencial irrigated area of 1026 ha, which is located in Poltava region. During the trip, the experts visited and assessed the technical condition of the main elements of the system, including pumping station and pipeline network.
